Improve punctuality of trains: General Manager Vinod Kumar Yadav
Secunderabad: Vinod Kumar Yadav , General Manager, South Central Railway advised the officials to focus on improving the punctuality of passenger trains and freight loading, while giving priority to safety. He conducted a review meeting on safety, punctuality and freight loading along with Principal Heads of Departments at Rail Nilayam, here on Monday. Vinod Kumar explained about the safety measures to be taken to ensure safety of train operations. He advised the officials to keep focus on the improvement of infrastructure facilities related to safe running of trains, including yard remodeling, track renewal works, station redevelopments work, construction of foot over bridges and high-level platforms.
Vinod instructed all the Divisional Railway Managers (DRMs) to monitor the works on provision of 100 ft National flag at nominated stations. The GM advised the officials to plan the works accordingly. He also reviewed progress of the works related to provision of toilets for differently abled.
Additional General Manger John Thomas, Principal Chief Engineer KV Siva Prasad, Principal Chief Operations Manager N Madhusudana Rao, Principal Chief Mechanical Engineer Arjun Mundiya, Chief Administrative Officer (Construction) Vijay Agarwal, Principal Chief Electrical Engineer AA Phadke, Principal Chief Material Manager PK Sangewar, Principal Chief Personnel Officer NV Ramana Reddy, Principal Chief Medical Director Dr KH K Dora, Principal Chief Security Commissioner GM Eshwar Rao and Sr Deputy General Manager Ashesh Agarwal were present. Divisional Railway Managers (DRMs) of all six divisions i.e. Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Guntakal, Guntur and Nanded attended the meeting through video conference.
