Sravan Dasoju calls for defeat of TRS

Khairatabad: Local Mahakutami candidate Sravan Dasoju on Monday called for the defeat of TRS party headed by caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, stating that it failed to honour its promises to the poor and weaker sections. Sravan listed the assurances such as as three-acre land to each dalit family and 2 BHK houses, which were not kept by the TRS. He was addressing a huge bike rally of supporters before filing nominations in the local GHMC office. Earlier, Sravan performed special pooja in Rajarajeswari Temple at Filmnagar and garlanded the statue of former Congress minister P Janardhan Reddy. 

He was accompanied by his family members and party leaders and activists in the rally. Women in large numbers joined the rally and applied ‘tilak’ to Sravan as a mark of welcome. Hundreds of TRS activists from Filmnagar, allegedly agitated by the allotment of party ticket to former minister Danam Nagender, joined the Mahakutami in the presence of Sravan. They were led by Narikella Naresh. The activists pledged to work for the success of the Congress leader who was active during the Telangana agitation. In Chintal, he was welcomed by women with ‘mangala harathi.’ The GA nominee appealed to voters to ensure his win with a big majority.

Among those who accompanied Sravan were Prakash Rao, former corporator Sharief, local party secretary Srinivas Rao, official representative Sunita, Madhukar Yadav, Krishna Yadav, Bablu, TPCC secretary Niranjan, Mahesh Yadav, Gangadhar, Kummari Venkatesh, Karim, David, Murali, Lakshman Yadav and Latha, besides leaders of all divisions in Khairatabad constituency.
