Nirmal: Denying the allegations of Asaduddin Owaisi, president of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen, District Congress Committee president Aleti Maheshwar Reddy challenged Owaisi that he will quit politics if the allegations are proved.

It should be mentioned here that Owaisi had alleged that the Congress had offered him Rs 25 lakhs to cancel their rally ahead of Assembly elections.

Speaking to the media at his residence here on Tuesday, Maheshwar Reddy alleged that former Minister and TRS candidate Indrakaran Reddy called on Asaduddin Owaisi to throw mud on him by making false allegations.

He said that in 2014 Assembly elections Asaduddin Owaisi had supported Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and now extending his support to the TRS and at Bhainsa Assembly constituency he is supporting BSP candidate. “Why should I offer Rs 25 lakhs to Owaisi, who is already very rich?” he questioned.
