CPM leader Bhaska, 100 TRS youth join Congress

Parigi: CPM district Rythu Sangham president Bhaskar of Devaneniguda in Pudur mandal, along with his followers, joined the Congress Party in the presence of Rammohan Reddy on Wednesday. He complained of lack of recognition as the motive for the resignation even after serving the organisation for 17 years. Bhaskar stated that he was joining the Congress inspired by Reddy’s services for the poor and downtrodden. He pledged to work for the success of the People’s Front.

About 100 TRS youth of Devaneniguda switched their loyalties to the Congress, ‘after being fed up’ with the pink party. The youngsters stated that they were inspired by Reddy’s efforts to work for the betterment of the weaker sections. They too promised to work for the success of the front. Addressing them, Reddy advised voters to ensure that the family of Harishwar Reddy which allegedly grabbed Pudur temple lands should be deprived of his deposit. Among those present were Bhagwandas, Subbayya, Raghunath Reddy, Surender, Karim, Venkatayya, Sudhakar and Surender Goud.
