Bar Association extends support to Ponnam

Karimnagar: The Karimnagar BAR Association extended its support to the Congress candidate of Mahakutami and former MP Ponnam Prabhakar, at a meeting held here on Thursday.

Speaking on the occasion, Ponnam Prabhakar said that as MP he took initiation for many developmental works in the district and urged the advocates to bless him by voting to him, so that he can serve the people and strive hard for development of constituency as MLA.

He promised the advocates if Congress comes to power, Rs 300 crores of funds will be allotted for the Advocates Welfare Fund along with sanctioning of Rs 10 crores of grants for Telangana BAR Council.

He also assured of constructing houses for advocates at district headquarters along with sanctioning of Rs 5,000 dole for Junior lawyers for a period of one year to help them settle in the profession along with increasing the accidental benefit to Rs 8 lakhs.

The TRS is killing democracy in the State and trying to suppress the voice of the people. But the people are observing every move of the TRS and their mesmerising words, which deceived them earlier. They ready to teach a fitting lesson to the TRS by defeating it in the coming elections.

He appealed to the people to vote for Mahakutami candidates and give bumper majority. BAR Association president Madhusudhan Reddy, Legal Cell convenor Devendar Reddy, members B Mallesham, K Venu Gopal, D Mallaiah were among those, who extended their support to Mahakutami Congress candidate Ponnam Prabhakar along with 400 advocates.
