Beware of knives from AP: KCR

Update: 2018-11-23 05:30 IST

Adilabad: Caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao called upon the people to think carefully before casting their vote, who they want to vote for.

“Because many people will tell you many things. But it is you who should remember how you were neglected for decades by both Congress and TDP and then look at the development that has taken place during the past four years under the TRS rule. All the development and welfare programmes initiated and implemented by the TRS government,” he stated.

Addressing Praja Ashirwada Sabha at Khanapur on Thursday, KCR suggested the voters to ask themselves as to who should be elected and not to get confused by tall claims made by Congress and TDP, who did nothing for the past 58 years. If by chance Congress is elected then remember development and irrigation projects will stop, he warned.

As the person, who achieved separate Telangana State; and as someone, who wants to develop this State and empower people, KCR said that what matters is that people should win, people should elect a system that will work for them as the TRS has done. This will happen when you vote for the TRS only, he observed.

Referring to the promises like waiving off farm loans of Rs 2 lakh made by other parties, KCR said that there are only one or two per cent of farmers have to pay loans and they do not need loan waiver. “We waived Rs One lakh loan earlier and we will waive off loans for Rs one lakh again”.

At Nirmal, he trained his gun on TDP and Congress and warned people to watch out for knives, which political party leaders from Andhra Pradesh are allegedly trying to bring into Telangana State to stab the people here.

The TRS chief criticised the Telangana Congress that it is carrying TPD on its shoulders. Telangana Congress leaders Jana Reddy and Uttam Kumar Reddy are doing this, he alleged. They want Telangana to be enslaved to Amaravati. Should we allow them to do that? The TRS president questioned the voters.

Addressing party meetings at Ichoda and Bhainsa, the caretaker CM asked people why Congress and TDP failed to implement schemes like Kanti Velugu and KCR Kits to provide better medical service to the poor and the needy, he asked. Unlike Congress and TDP, TRS will never divide people on the basis of caste or religion or region and financial status and the way the government schemes were implemented bear the testimony to this.

The caretaker Chief Minister wanted the people to question TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu and Congress leaders over their failure to complete the pending projects in the erstwhile Adilabad district during their regimes in the undivided AP.

MP Gedam Nagesh, former MP Venugopala Chary, MLCs Naradasu Laxman, Puranam Satish, Deshaparthi  Srinivas, Loka Bhuma Reddy, former Minister Indrakaran Reddy, former MLA Rekha Naik, Rathod Bapu Rao, Vittal Reddy and others were present.
