Hyderabad: Caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrashekar has rightly predicted about the TRS defeat and taking rest after elections, TJS chief Prof Kodandaram said on Thursday. Chandrashekar Rao focused only on accumulating and increasing his wealth and properties in the last four and half years, he added.

Addressing media on Thursday, Kodandaram said that it was a bitter experience for the TJS in People's Front as far as seat sharing was concerned. In the name of surveys, the Congress belittled TJS’ strength and winning chances which was uncalled for, he said.

Kodandaram said that their view was that the TJS would get benefitted by the alliance, but alliance dharma was not followed. Despite TJS withdrawing its candidates in five segments, the Congress did not show mercy and reciprocate our gesture, Kodandaram said.

He said that the TJS had to sacrifice its interests also just to ensure that there are no cracks in the alliance. The TJS learnt a lot with political developments that transpired after September 6, the retired professor said.

The TJS president felt that a single party getting majority was unlikely in Telangana. As regards taking up the responsibility of common minimum programme, he explained that he took up the job to ensure implementation of all promises.

When asked about no constituency for him to contest the election, Kodandaram said that it might turn out to be a blessing in disguise as he would now campaign aggressively in all constituencies.
