KTR takes on Naidu for claims of developing Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Telangana Rashtra Samithi leader KT Rama Rao took on Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for his repeated claims of developing and creating wealth for Hyderabad during his tenure. “If Naidu claims that he built Hyderabad in nine years, why he did not repeat a similar feat by building Amaravati in the last four-and-a-half years?” KTR asked. Addressing the Seemandhra Sangheebhava Sabha, organised in Kukatpally on Saturday, the TRS leader said that Amaravati was just confined to jugglery of graphics.

“Hyderabad has a rich history of over 430 years. If Chandrababu Naidu who was at the helm of affairs for nine years thinks he is the creator of Hyderabad, then what late Mohammed Quli Qutb Shah (who is regarded as the founder of Hyderabad) must be thinking? Naidu just built Hitech city. We are not saying he did nothing. As CM of the State, Naidu contributed to the city and so does YS Rajasekhara Reddy and other CMs who followed him,” KTR said.

He explained TDP victory in Hyderabad in 2014 elections was only because of apprehensions over voting for TRS party at that time. However after assuming power, the TRS government focused on development, welfare and various initiatives due to which people of Hyderabad gave a thumping victory with 99 seats in GHMC elections.

He said TRS attitude towards people who settled here from Seemandhra and other States was same like locals, and it delivered governance without differentiating on caste, creed or region. The law and order situation in Hyderabad was the best in the country and free from any type of disturbances and hence curfew, which was a regular affair during Congress regimes in the past, was not even imposed for four seconds, KTR stressed.

The TRS leader further alleged that Chandrababu Naidu and his alliance partners were trying to defeat TRS government by driving a wedge between people. He was critical of TDP choice for Kukatpally, which he felt was taken to create division among voters on different lines. He wanted to know whether TDP could not find a single leader who worked with a commitment for the party in Kukatpally.

He termed the alliance between Congress and TDP unholy and devoid of ideology which even TDP founder late N T Rama Rao would not be able to digest. “Not able to face KCR individually, rival parties formed an alliance. But they should remember a lion always comes and fights single. Post December 11, TRS will be forming the government again,” he said.
