TRS leaders,cadre flock to Congress
Quthbullapur: The Ward member of 127 division, Cheruku Lavanya Goud (TRS), along with her 600 women followers joined the Congress party in the presence of Grand Alliance candidate Kuna Srisailam Goud on Monday. She said she was forced to shift loyalties because of ‘mere talk and no action’ by TRS and injustice being done to women. Lavanya expressed confidence that the Congress would treat women better. She gave a call to oppose TRS candidate K P Vivekanand. Addressing them, Goud asserted that women are treated well in the Congress. He ensured that justice would be done to them in future. KKM Trust chairman Kuna Srinivas Goud, Ameera Bi, Padma, Lata, Anusha, Aazad were present.
Goud also received support from TDP with its leaders Padma, Jansi, Martha Krishna, Qurshid Beg, Geeta, along with her supporters. The Vallabh Bhai Patel Nagar Reddy Sangham, Chintal division, extended its backing to Goud, who was the chief guest at an event along with Kolanu Hanmanth Reddy. The sangham leaders alleged that injustice was done to Reddys who had joined TRS. Sangham president Pratap Reddy, secretary Venkat Reddy, Ram Reddy, M Lakshma Reddy, Jaipal Reddy, Madhav Reddy, G Lakshma Reddy, Narsimha Reddy and Ravinder Reddy supported Congress.
About 200 activists of Gandhinagar including members of the Hare Rama Hare Krishna Bhakta Jana Brundam hailing from Odisha joined the Congress, pledging their support to Goud. They included Khaja, M Srinivas Yadav, Loknath, Prashanth, Ramesh. State YC leader Kuna Srinivas Goud was present. Also among those who joined PF were Chintal TRS leader S Srinivas Reddy and his 100 followers. Srinivas Goud was present. They included K Surender Reddy, P Narsing Rao, C Jaipal, Tirumal Reddy, K Shankar Reddy, Gopal Reddy, Rajababu, Venkatesh, Arjun Goud, Abhishek Reddy.
Meanwhile, Goud took up canvassing moving in a ‘Pragati Ratham’ in Pragatinagar. He received a big welcome from the Congress and TDP activists, who raised ‘Jai Chandrababu,’ ‘Jai Srisailam Goud’ slogans. He appealed to the voters to opt for the hand symbol, assuring to solve their drinking water problem. Those who received Goud included Pragatinagar TDP president Y Nageswar Rao, Kamma Sangham president Abburi Sai, Nagesh Mudiraj, Prasanna Kumar. Goud intensified campaigning in Bowrampet Indiramma Colony, Maheshwaram, Mallampet, Sambipur villages, promising voters to do more than what he had done in the past. Those accompanying him included TDP in-charge B Hanumanth Rao, senior TDP leader S V Krishna Reddy, Malla Reddy, Yadi Reddy, Bal Reddy, Narsimha, Raghu, Pratap, Ranganna and Osman.
