Vijaya Engineering College becomes vote counting centre

Khammam: Vijay Engineering College has been chosen as a centre for counting votes in Khammam district. District Collector RV Karnan along with electoral observers and police officials inspected the voting centre at Vijay Engineering College in the city.

After inspecting the strong rooms and halls where the counting of votes will be done, Karnan explained the electoral observers about places that are allotted for the electoral observers, returning officers, candidates and agents. He also told them about arrangements of counting tables, barricade and other security measures that would be made during the vote counting process.

The Collector ordered the officials concerned to take necessary steps for supplying of uninterrupted of power when counting of votes is in progress. The elections observers of Khammam and Palair constituencies Dinesh Sahera, Madhira and Wyra constituencies election observer Bhagwan Das and Sattupalli constituency election observer Kishore Panth after inspecting the strong rooms of five constituencies of the district advised the Collector to provide tight security arrangements.

DCP Muralidhar, Special Branch ACP Sathyanarayana, NPDCL Superintending Engineer Ramesh and District in-charge Revenue Officer Madan Gopal and others were present.
