Kukatpally: BJP MLA candidate Madhavaram Kantha Rao said that there was a BJP wave in the constituency. He said that the TRS and Grand Alliance (GA) parties were sure to be washed away in the upcoming elections. He was speaking during the padayatra in various colonies of Begumpet division on Thursday.

A large number of women activists, BJP leaders and party workers participated in the padayatra, which was undertaken in Prakash Nagar, Chela Banda and Raju Colony. He was given warm welcome by colony residents. During his campaign, he visited every house and interacted with people on issues of colonies. He promised to address the issues once he is elected and appealed them to vote for him. Speaking during the campaign, he said that the election was witnessing a contest between those who obstruct development and sincere leaders.

Kantha Rao alleged that Krishna Rao, TRS candidate and former MLA, had failed to develop the constituency and address public issues. He questioned why TRS party failed to keep up its election promises. He demanded to provide information on the development works completed during the last four and half years. Among those who participated in padayatra include Govind, Bhoomaiah, Nandu, Srinivas and others.
