Caste-based vocations thriving in Telangana state: Talasani Srinivas Yadav
Sanath Nagar: After formation of Telangana state, the state government had taken up necessary measures for the revival of caste-based professions, said Talasani Srinivas Yadav, caretaker minister and Sanath Nagar TRS MLA candidate. He was speaking at Mudhiraj community get-together held at Vivekananda Community Hall in Ameerpet division on Thursday.
Talasani Yadav said that the TRS government had allocated huge funds for fisheries department, but the erstwhile united AP governments never allocated more than Rs 5 crore for the department. Apart from distributing fish seedlings freely to fishermen, the state government gave fishermen two-wheelers and other vehicles worth Rs 1,120 crore on subsidy. Various other caste-based professions too were supported by the government for their economic uplift, he said. The TRS government also initiated several schemes to support poor and destitutes, he said. He promised that the TRS party would continue to work for the welfare of people in coming days as well. Corporators Namana Sheshukumari, former corporator Maheshwari, Mudhiraj association members Raju Mudhiraj, Shankar, Srinivas, Lalitha, Ravi Prasad, Mahender and others were present at the get together.
Later, Srinvas Yadav also participated in election meeting as chief guest held at Aditya Enclave in Ameerpet division. The association thanked caretaker minister for addressing their issues and extended their support in the ensuing elections. Speaking on the occasion, he said that he always strove for addressing public issues and the development activities completed during the last four years stands testimony to his commitment towards the constituency. He appealed to the people to vote for him and promised to transform Sanath Nagar into an ideal constituency. Residents of the colony, association members and TRS leaders participated in the meeting.
