HMWSSB to take up water auditing

Hyderabad: President of US-based Aquacraft International Willian Deorio gave a Power Point presentation on water auditing and minimising water loss at main office of Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) here on Thursday. 

Deoriosaid most of the water supplied by HMWSSB is not accounted which results in loss of revenue for the state. Aquacraft company has developed a special software called ‘Water Auditing and Loss Control’ programme to prevent water losses and optimise revenues through proper auditing of water.  The software also identifies illegal connections and meter tampering, he said. However, for the effective use of the software, details such as pipeline length, number of consumers in the supply system needs to be fed into the software and required water pressure needs to be maintained, he said.
