Telangana Govt doesn’t interfere in CBI’s affairs: Purandeswari
Khammam: The Central government was not interfering in the affairs of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), asserted former Union minister and BJP leader Daggubati Purandeswari.
She was here on Thursday to campaign for the BJP candidates. She dismissed the allegations being made by the TDP chief and AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu that the Centre was influencing and diluting institutions like CBI, Enforcement Directorate (ED) and others.
With reference to recent raids by the Enforcement Directorate on the offices of some TDP leaders, she stated that the ED conducts raids on those individuals and business houses that have duped the banks.
Purandeswari conducted road shows at Sathupalli, Madhira and Khammam constituencies campaigning for the BJP candidates. Hitting out at the Praja Kutami, she said there was no ideological base for the alliance as the parties that have come together have different political ideologies.
Chandrababu Naidu in the past had accused Congress regimes in the state and at the Centre of acting undemocratically. How could he now join hands with such a political party, she posed.
The BJP leader said both the TRS and TDP candidates P Ajay Kumar and N Nageswara Rao would work for their own selfish needs, if elected. Nageswara Rao, being a businessman would usually be away from Khammam and would not be available for public, she pointed out.
Khammam BJP candidate Uppala Sarada would stay in the constituency to address the needs of the people, hence the voters should support her and elect her in the coming elections, Purandeswari said.
