Balance tilts in favour of TRS in Alampur
Gadwal: The Congress candidate Sampath Kumar from Alampur constituency of Gadwal district is going to face tough task ahead in Alampur, as the TRS candidate Abraham seems to getting more popularity among the masses in the constituency.
The main problem for Sampath Kumar is that despite his having a good name among the masses and has the ability to go and mingle with the people and resolve their issues, Congress party forming alliance with TDP is seems to have not given the much needed mileage to him.
According to political analysts, Alampur has been a strong hold for Congress and second place is TDP since years. However, after TRS came into being, majority of TDP cadre have shifted their allegiance to TRS and supporting Abraham. “Alampur has only two parties dominating since years.
However, after formation of Mahakutami, the TDP has not fielded its candidate. With no TDP, the cadre of TDP instead of supporting Congress candidate may align with TRS candidate,” observed a local political analysts from Alampur.
In Alampur, majority of voters are labourers who had come and settled from neighbouring Kurnool district. In the upcoming elections, though Sampath has good support of locals and it is also expected that the majority 15,000 settlers votes may also become a big plus for his winning, however, the chances of mass votes getting split towards TRS favour and majority TDP votes which is expected to deflect towards TRS is a big worry for Sampath.
