Scant security mars Revanth campaign

Kodangal: Congress leader A Revanth Reddy said he has been unable to pull his poll campaign off because of the insufficient security given to him. Despite the orders from the High Court, his security was not enhanced, he said, and demanded 4+4 security covers for him. Leveling charges against the TRS Chief K Chandrashekar Rao and DGP Mahender Reddy, Revanth said, “After Mahender Reddy assumed office as DGP, attacks on me and my activists have increased. I complained about it to the Central government and even intelligence reports say that there are chances of attacks on me, but still no action was initiated”.

Revanth alleged that the present government is trying to disturb his campaign. “They filed 39 cases against me. DGP did not provide the details of the cases. I had to approach court for those details. They are conspiring against me for physical attacks on the name of Maoists,” he said. Revanth said that he had been out of the campaign for three days on the advice of his party activists. Central government is also colluded with the state government, he said. “ED raided on me as I predicted earlier.

This time also I have reliable information about attacks planning against me,” he added.   “Why the election commission is not taking the matter seriously, as I am the working president of a party and why governor is also quite about the issue,” he asked. Revanth said he did not fear of cases and would continue to fight against corruption.
