TRS candidates may lose deposits: Konda Vishweshwar Reddy

Update: 2018-12-01 05:30 IST

Tandur: Chevella MP Konda Vishweshwar Reddy on Friday said that the TRS party is coming to you with new promises, despite utterly failing to fulfill the previous election promises made by them.  Speaking to media persons here, he said that TRS probably has the best talent in boasting about their work, which no other party can lay claim to. They convey an impression that all the development work began with their coming to power and in the past 60 odd years there was no development. TRS is facing a massive negative wave against it for non-performance and its candidates may even lose deposits in the forthcoming elections, as under the banner of Praja Kutami all stalwarts including Gaddar, R Krisnaiah, Manda Krishna Madiga, Congress, TDP, TJS, CPI are coming together to defeat it.

He said, the Shaadi Maburak disbursement is already being delayed by several months and after election they may further delay payments and totally scrap it too. They are boasting about free electricity, even Congress gave free electricity despite shortage of power during its tenure. Today there is surplus power, every state has surplus power, nothing unique to Telangana, TRS can't claim credit for it. They promised a job for each household, the lowest per capita expenditure on education amongst the five states going to elections is in Telangana. The reason for TRS deceiving the people of Telangana by not fulfilling various promises, is diversion of funds meant for developmental schemes to big projects. I am sure you know why they lacked interest in job creation and why all their focus was on big projects.

KVR said, the most pressing problem is providing employment, Congress realised this way back and introduced Mahatma Gandhi national rural employment guarantee scheme, it was Congress Government in AP which introduced the best health scheme, Arogyasri, mid-day meals was launched to bring back kids to schools by Congress, again Indiramma houses was introduced by Congress, free pension was implemented by Congress. The economic development was the best during Congress rule, economy in a very bad shape was revived by Shri PV Narsimha Rao and Shri Manmohan Singh and laid a roadmap for strong economy.

Congress can lead this state to the path of growth and bring hope and joy to the people of Telangana.  In Tandur, there is hardly any development. During Congress rule the Tandur Government Hospital used to attract patients from several neighborhood areas, today it is in a bad shape, locals themselves don't rely on it. The school building is in a dilapidated condition, with no effort to maintain it, mid-day meals are being cooked in the dirty toilets of schools. There is all round gloom in Tandur with no development being taken up, it's time to bring back Congress, to put Tandur firmly on the path of progress, says Shri Vishweshwar Reddy.
