Mukesh slams BJP for divisive politics
Abids: Goshamahal Congress candidate and former minister Mukesh Goud said that religion should be kept away from politics and urged people to teach those leaders who exploit religious sentiments to get votes. He was speaking during his election campaign in Sultan Bazar division on Sunday. He made a whirl wind tour of Sultan Bazar, Jambagh and Begum Bazar municipal division as part of his election campaign.
Speaking during his campaign, he lambasted the former MLA Raja Singh, the Goshamahal BJP candidate, for exploiting religious sentiments for his selfish interests. He accused the former MLA of dividing people in the name of religion and looting public money. He questioned why he did not raise his voice during the demonetization and introduction of GST when businessmen and common people faced severe inconvenience.
Mukesh Goud alleged that BJP candidate had ignored the constituency and no development works were undertaken during the last four years. He promised to be accessible to people to address their issues and develop the constituency.
