Book on Tirumala gets international acclaim

Hyderabad: Several prominent American professors congratulated city author  TVRK Murthy (Viswapathi) for writing Srivari Darsan, a book on Tirumala and Lord Sri Venkateswara. In several e-mails, they appreciated the book and many of them said they were using in their classes too. Harvard University Parkman Professor of Divinity Prof Francis X Clooney said Srivari Darsan was a lovely book and Tiruvenkadam was his favourite place and he himself visited it thrice. Prof Clooney is a Fellow of British Academy and also Director of Centre for Study of World Religions between 2010 and 2017.

Columbia University Claire Tow Professor of Religion Prof John Stratton Hawley said that Srivari Darsan was a wonderful achievement and best of all things in a book- a real invitation to read. He appreciated Viswapathi for the wonderful photos in the book. University of West Florida Professor Emeritus Director of International studies Prof Madan Lal Goel said that he liked the book very much and reading few pages a day during his meditation. He said the contents and pictures were superb. California Institute of Integral studies Professor Prof Constance Jones described the book as a treasure. 

Several other professors including RUTGERS School of Arts and Sciences Prof Bryant, Edwin, University of Colorado Prof Loriliai Biernacki, Yale University South Asian Studies Council, Macmillan Centre, Utah State University Charled Redd Chair of Religious studies Ravi Gupta, Illinois Wesleyan University Prof Nawaraj Chaulagain and several other eminent professors from European universities too congratulated Viswapathi for bringing out such a wonderful book on Lord Sri Venkateswara. Viswapathi expressed his happiness over the book getting international acclaim. He said it was only by the grace of Lord Srinivasa, that he could write the book.
