Konda Vishweshwar Reddy dubs TRS freebies as Sweet 16 manifesto
Tandur: Congress party Tandur candidate pilot Rohith Reddy hosted a massive public meeting here on Monday. The meeting was attended by Rahul Gandhi, president, AICC; R C Khuntia, AICC in-charge, Telangana; Prof. Kodandaram, president, TJS; Balladeer Gaddar; N Uttamkumar Reddy, president, TPCC; Chevella MP Konda Vishweshwar Reddy, amongst others.
Addressing the public meeting, Konda Vishweshwar Reddy said that the manifesto released by the TRS party was a copied one, they couldn't even draft a proper manifesto. “It is a sweet sixteen manifesto, they added 16 to everything, if it is Rs 2,000, they added 16 to it, they made Rs 3,000, to Rs 3,016.” He said, “All our hopes of betterment of Telangana turned into despair with no jobs being provided. Today's meeting at Tandur is not an empty chairs meeting of KCR, this is no Kongarakalan meeting, not a quarter bottles (liquor) meeting.
This is a meeting of people who came voluntarily to meet Rahul Gandhi, to get rid of the family rule for a democratic governance. Our biggest concern is, the state is debt ridden, each one of us is burdened with Rs 60,000 debt.” “What did you do with all the money, people didn't benefit, it was all spent on projects that were dearer than people?” He questioned. Vishweshwar Reddy said that this was the reason for people coming in large numbers to this meeting, to support a party which could work for them.
