No Telangana, no welfare schemes
Huzurabad: How we would have implemented so many welfare schemes if separate Telangana State was not formed, TRS candidate from Huzurabad constituency Eatala Rajender questioned the public during an election campaign at Lakshajipalle village in Huzurabad mandal on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, Rajender said separate Telangana formation is not out of mercy of anyone, but hard earned by fighting for several years. “We could have never introduced schemes like Rythu Bandhu, Kalyana Lakshmi, Shaadi Mubarak, KCR Kits, Sheep Rearing Schemes and others might not have been introduced, if separate State was not formed,” he observed.
Keeping in mind that people can get food two-time a day if only the lands are cultivated, the TRS government is determined to supply water for two crops from the next June and Lakshajipalle will be made fertile, he promised.
Eatala said that earlier pensions were given to widows only but now the TRS government is providing pension to single women also. Previous governments had allotted Rs 800 crores for pensions but the TRS government allotted Rs 6,000 crores for pensions for various sections of people, he added.
“Leaders may shift their loyalties for the sake of money. But people, who believe in one party, will never shift their loyalties. What Congress and TDP and its leaders did for achieving separate Statehood for Telangana and for the betterment of Telangana people? They do not have the right to ask votes,” he said.
