Sanathnagar a TDP fortress: Venkatesh
Sanathnagar: Kuna Venkatesh Goud, the People’s Front candidate of Sanathnagar constituency, on Sunday attributed local problems and people’s woes to the negligent attitude of the TRS government. Campaigning house-to-house and during ‘padayatra’ in Sambamurthinagar and Adayyanagar of the Monda Market division, Goud distributed pamphlets. Canvassing support for the PF, he claimed that residents of every area were telling him of the problems they were facing.
Goud described Sanathnagar as the Telugu Desam Party’s fortress (‘kanchukota’) while expressing confidence of emerging victorious in this election. He claimed that the TRS government’s ‘corruption’ would pave the way for the PF’s victory. The PF candidate alleged that outgoing MLA had joined TRS from TDP only for becoming a minister. He contended that TD was the only party known for serving the people. He described as false, the claim of the caretaker minister representing the constituency of having spent Rs 800 crore on its development, as there were no visible signs of the expenditure.
