TRS failed to develop city: BJP

Update: 2018-12-04 05:30 IST

Hanamkonda: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate for Warangal West constituency Marthineni Dharma Rao said that the TRS government is more of words than deeds. During his door-to-door campaign at Lashkar Bazar here on Monday, he criticised the TRS government for ignoring the city development despite the availability of funds.

He said that Warangal, which was selected under Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT), Heritage City Development and Augmentation Yojana (HRIDAY) and the Smart City Mission, didn’t witness development as much as one would have desired.

The TRS leadership totally ignored the development instead, they focused on land encroachments and settlements. The city roads are awful while other infrastructural development such as underground drainage is still a far cry, Dharma Rao said, appealing to people to choose a right person who could develop the city.

Senior leaders Seshagiri Rao, Bingi Srinivas, Rajendra Prasad, Kolanu Santhosh Reddy, Laxman, Kotha Ravi, N Ramalingam, and A Kumaraswamy were among others present.
