Change is possible only with Congress
Warangal: The People’s Front candidate of the Congress contesting from Warangal East constituency Vaddiraj Ravichandra said that change is possible only with the Congress. During his campaign in the city, he said that Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) has no moral right to seek mandate again following its failure to fulfil the aspirations of the people in the region.
“It’s time for the people to teach a fitting lesson to the TRS leaders, who ignored the development in the State and worked for their vested interests,” he said. He criticised the TRS leadership for giving Warangal East ticket to Mayor Nannapuneni Narender ignoring the candidatures of those, who fought hard for the separate Telangana Movement.
Asserting that farmers’ welfare is possible only with the Congress, he reeled out his party’s plans to make agriculture beneficent. Campaigning at Enumamula Market Yard, he assured the farmers that Congress is hellbent on providing minimum support price to all the crops.
Recalling the incident of handcuffing of farmers in Khammam, Ravichandra criticised the TRS government for its failure to rescue the cultivators during its four-and-a-half-year rule.
He said that farmers will get loan waiver of Rs 2 lakh at one go if the Congress was voted to power. All the government benefits will be extended to tenant and podu farmers, he added.
TDP State General Secretary Eega Mallesham, Embadi Ravinder, A Vidyasagar, Kothapally Srinivas and Karate Prabhakar were among others present.
