HCCC minorities wing chief appointed

Hyderabad: Entrepreneur Mohammed Waliullah Sameer, who joined the Congress party recently, has been appointed as Chairman of Hyderabad City Congress Committee (HCCC) Minorities Department.

The letter of appointment issued by TPCC Minorities Dept Chairman Shaik Abdullah Sohail, was officially handed over to Waliullah Sameer by AICC Minorities Dept Chairman Nadeem Jaweed on Tuesday. 

Speaking on the occasion, Sameer thanked Congress president Rahul Gandhi, TPCC President Uttam Kumar Reddy, Nadeem Javeed and Shaik Abdullah Sohail for assigning him to such an important responsibility. He assured that he would work hard to bring minorities closer to the Congress party and also to represent and resolve the problems being faced by various minority communities.

Sameer said he would undertake a comprehensive study to identify the issues concerning youth belonging to minority communities. "Congress party is coming to power in the December 7 elections. Our party has given several assurances to minorities in its manifesto.

As the Chairman of HCCC Minorities Dept, I will ensure that the next People's Front government implement all the promises made to the minorities, including Muslims," he said, and appealed to the people of Telangana to vote in favour of Congress party and other alliance partners TDP, TJS and CPI.
