Polling officials ready for smooth elections

Gadwal: The polling officials in Gadwal district are prepared very well to conduct the Assembly elections to be held on December 7. 

The Gadwal district administration, which has been bestowed with the responsibility to conduct Assembly elections for its two constituencies of Gadwal and Alampur, has already made all arrangements and appointed 2,032 electoral staff to monitor, supervise and conduct the polling smoothly in over 508 polling stations in the district. 

The district administration has already set everything in place to condut the elections smoothly and had set up CCTV cameras to monitor the election process upto an area of 100 meters from the place of polling station.

“We have already distributed 2,26, 613 voter slips to voters and the officials on the election duty have also utilised 1,285 postal ballots, while remaining are expected to do the same.  We have planned to arrange 180 buses to ferry polling officials to the polling stations,” informed k. Shashank, District Collector Gadwal.

On the occasion VV Patil, Senior IAS, special election observer for Wanaparthy was also present. As the election campaigning has come to an end, the police in Gadwal have imposed Section 144 in the district. Till date as much as Rs 1.39 crore unaccounted money has been seized in Gadwal.
