Karwan locals vote for development

Karwan: Shariq Shaji, a pharmacy student, Abdul Rahmaan, a B Com final year student and Abhishek, a salesman come from different backgrounds but had one thing in common, all were casting their vote for the first time in one of the highest nominations- the Karwan constituency. The new voters have been inducted in the electoral list and form a part of 3,03,020 voters. 

People from all walks of life made it to polling booths in what can be termed as one of the most underdeveloped areas in the city, in spite of being surrounded by the Golconda Fort and Toli Chowki. Civic problems galore in the area and we need to elect the best candidate. This is what drove me to the polling booth, said Syed Arif a resident of Hakeem Shah colony. Mahmood Jaffer, an employee at Genpact said, “I always cast my vote as I feel it is my responsibility.” Gulam Ahmed, 69 years, a retd. Railway employee stated, “I vote in every election, voting brings a different enthusiasm. I wake up early and make sure to vote.”
