4 killed in separate accidents in Mahbubnagar

Mahbubnagar: In two separate road accidents, four persons were killed and 13 others were injured severely in Mahbubnagar district on Monday.  According to Maganooru police, a speeding car swerved and tumbled over several times.

The impact was so severe that three persons were died on the spot due to severe head injuries while three more were severely injured. The mishap occurred at about 4.30 am near Nallagutta village of Maganooru mandal in Makthal constituency.  

The injured were rushed to Mahbubnagar district hospital and later referred to Hyderabad for better treatment. The deceased were identified as Mahesh, Manikantha and Kamesh, who belong to Cholavaram in Visakhapatnam of Andhra Pradesh.

The police informed that the incident occurred near a culvert where the road widening works are undergoing. After preliminary enquiry, police said that over-speed and lack of proper sign boards at the work site on the road are the reasons for the accident. 

In the second incident, a government teacher was killed when the bus in which she was travelling rammed into a lorry from behind at National Dhabha on National Highway 44 near Kavarampet village of Jadcherla mandal. 

According to eyewitness, the RTC bus driver, who was driving at a very high speed, tried to overtake a DCM and rammed in to the lorry. In this incident, 10 out of 50 passengers travelling in the bus were injured. A woman teacher, Radhika from Jadcherla, suffered severe head injuries. She succumbed to the injuries on her way to Hyderabad.
