Pink party wins nine, Congress wins one seat

Adilabad: The Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) has won majority of the seats, nine out of the 10 in the erstwhile Adilabad district. Former Minister and TRS candidate of Adilabad Assembly segment Jogu Ramanna defeated BJP contestant Payala Shankar with a majority of 24,828 votes.

In Boath Assembly segment, the pink party candidate Rathod Bapu Rao won with a majority of 5,472 votes against Congress candidate Soyam Bapu Rao. 

In Nirmal Assembly segment, former Minister Indrakaran Reddy won against Congress candidate A Maheshwar Reddy with a majority of 9,461 votes.

In Khanapur constituency, sitting MLA Rekha Naik defeated Congress candidate Rathod Ramesh with a majority of 20,974 votes. In Mudhole segment, sitting MLA Vittal Reddy defeated opponent Ramadevi with a majority of 40,481 votes. In Chennur Assembly constituency, Peddapalli MP Balka Suman won with 28,014 majority votes against his opponent Bodakunta Venkatesh Neta of Congress. 

From Sirpur, sitting MLA Koneru Konappa won with 24,226 majority. In Bellampalli Assembly constituency, Durgam Chinnaiah defeated BSP candidate Gaddam Vinod with a majority of 11,097 votes.From Mancherial, TRS candidate Nadipelli Diwakar Rao won with a majority of 5,076 votes against Congress candidate Kokkirala Premsagar Rao.

The one and only seat, which Congress bagged is Asifabad Assembly segment where its candidate Atram Sakku won the election with a mere 276 votes majority against the sitting MLA Kova Lakshmi.
