Bandapally argues BJP has strong base in Secunderabad

Secunderabad: The BJP candidate who contested from Secunderabad assembly constituency, Bandapally Satish, suspected that TRS candidate T Padma Rao Goud won the elections by tampering EVMs. Speaking to media on Thursday, Bandapally Satish expressed his apprehensions on counting process.

He said that he had lodged a written complaint in this regard with Secunderabad returning officer Raghu Prasad and requested the VVPAT slips be counted again but their request had been turned down. He said that they were also planning to file a complaint on this regard to the Collector as well.

Stating that BJP has traditional vote bank of nearly 30,000 votes, he said that it is unbelievable that the party secured only around 11,000 votes.

Congress secured first place in postal ballot, followed by TRS party in the second place, but in the actual votes TRS secured first place followed by Congress party, which leads to suspicions over the vote counting process, he said. He also raised his doubts on one-side voting results throughout the state. He said that BJP did not secure votes even in the areas where it had strong cadre base. He demanded a thorough investigation on tampering of EVMs.

BJP Secunderabad BJP in-charge Ravi Prasad Goud expressed his doubts regarding the victory of TRS candidate Padma Rao who won the seat comfortably with a huge margin despite strong opposition  among the people. He said that they would discuss the matter with their high command and file a petition in court for an investigation into the matter, if necessary.
