Ryots urged to avail of seed subsidy

Medchal: District agriculture department issued a press note stating that rice and corn seeds and agriculture equipment are being provided on subsidy. Interested farmers are asked to send their applications to the district agriculture department. 

Agriculture tools and equipment include various kinds of pesticide sprayers, rice harvesters and transplantation machines. However, only farmers associations which have been operating for more than five years are eligible for getting the subsidy on purchase of rice harvesters and transplantation machines. 

Zinc sulphate is also being supplied on subsidy. The last date of applying for subsidy is December 31.
