JNTUH launches Hackathon league

JNTU: Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad (JNTUH) launched a Hackathon league exclusively for the students to inspire, recognise and reward innovative ideas. Packed with a series of 15 Hackathons at institutions with JHUB/JLabs, the league is themed ‘Sustainable Development Goals’. Vice-Chancellor JNTUH Prof A Venugopal Reddy & Prof MP Poonia, Vice-Chairman, AICTE has formally launched the league on Friday and addressed the Principals.

Speaking on the occasion, the Vice-Chancellor emphasised the importance of preparing the students for the knowledge society. He said that spirit of innovation and tech entrepreneurship, need to be nurtured and recognised right from the first year of engineering to make them future ready. He further said that J-Hub Hackathon League would cultivate a community of passionate engineering graduates, industry mentors and entrepreneurs which plays a key role in building innovation Eco-System. The Vice-Chairman Prof MP Poonia appreciated the efforts of the University and advised the team to motivate students towards improvement of income in rural India.
