Police foil child marriage

Vikarabad: Officials foiled an attempt of child marriage at Dhannaram Village on Sunday. On credible information received by 1098, local MRO and representatives of child line, along with police inspector, reached the venue where arrangements for engagement were taking place. Officials counselled both parties. They warned them of action if they proceeded further. Officials told the parents of the child that they would receive two years of imprisonment if they conducted child marriage.
