Collector RV Karnan raises awareness on Kisan Call Centre

Khammam: Every farmer has to know how to make use of the Kissan Call Centre, said the District Collector RV Karnan while addressing an awareness programme in the city on Wednesday. The awareness programme was organised by the Agriculture department for the mandal co-ordinators of Rythu seva samithi.

The Collector explained the use of the call to Kisan Call Centre number 1077. On Rythu Bandhu scheme, the Collector said 85% Rythu Bandhu cheques have been distribute in the district and rest will be handed over the beneficiaries soon.

Khammam MLA Puvada Ajay Kumar speaking the program he said the prestigious programs of the Rythu Bandhu and Rythu Bheema are very useful for the farmers.

He informed that the government has a plan to increase input subsidy from Rs. 4000 to 5,000 per acre in the coming season. The MLA said that the State government is giving importance to solve the issues and implement the schemes like the Kissan call centres and others. 

District farmers’ co-ordination president N Venkateswarlu, Agriculture Officer Jhansi Laxmi Kumari, Agriculture Scientist Hemanth, and other officers and Co-Ordination members attended the programme.
