New Year revelries to be under cops glare

Hyderabad: The New Year revellers beware! The Big Boss would be watching you. The Cyberabad Police Commissionerate means business and is making all arrangements to ensure an incident and accident-free 2019. In a first, the video recording of the minute by minute proceedings from 8 pm till 1 am and until all the people disperse ought to be submitted to the CP Cyberabad. Most star hotels fall in the limits of Madhapur and most of the resorts and farm houses fall under Shamshabad and Balanagar areas. In previous years, there were allegations that star hotels and resorts were encouraging illegal activities including hookah smoking, drugs consumption and rave parties in resorts.  

Event managers need to take prior permission from the CP in writing and all events are to start at 8 pm and end at 1 am. Admission is only through invitation. The maximum number of persons to be allowed into the venue shall be declared by the applicant at the time of obtaining permission which shall not be deviated under any circumstances. Only couples or registered members and their acquaintances shall be permitted. No single person shall be allowed to enter into the venue. No activities falling under the AP Gaming Act 1974 shall be organised.  No DJ is permitted. The sound of the loud speakers shall not exceed 45 decibels. Display of nude dances, acts and films, obscene gestures etc is strictly prohibited. No obscene posters allowed.  

Liquor shall not be served without any valid license or permission by the Excise Department. Use of fire arms is strictly prohibited. Video record preferably (CD) of the minute to minute proceedings with built-in time and date line from 8 pm to 1 am till the dispersal of the audience shall be submitted to the office of the CP Cyberabad. The licensee is instructed to arrange CCTV, DFMDs and HHMDs at the premises. Burning of crackers is strictly prohibited. Smoke extinguishers and water should be arranged to prevent fire accidents.

Even the valid arms license holders are not allowed to carry arms (gun /weapon /rifle pistol/revolver) inside the venue. Drunken driving after the event is prohibited checks for drunken driving would be organized by police all along the Highway using breathalysers.Cyberabad Police Commissioner V C Sajjanar conducted a meeting with the owners of bar and restaurants, resorts, farm houses and organisers on Wednesday. During the meeting CP appealed the public to celebrate incident and accident-free New year. Madhapur DCP Venkateshwar Rao, Traffic DCP S M Vijay Kumar, Admin DCP K Narasimha participated in the meeting.
