Dana Kishore conducts surprise inspections in Secunderabad
Secunderabad: In a surprise visit, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Commissioner M Dana Kishore toured several areas in Secunderabad, including St Ann’s School Road and other parts of Mettuguda to inspect the conditions of the roads. The sanitation staff took by his surprise visit. The commissioner inspected roads near Secunderabad St Ann’s School where the construction debris was dumped on the main road.
The commissioner directed the concerned officials to impose a penalty of Rs 10,000 for dumping debris and stated that the officials must strictly implement rules against the people who are responsible for open urination. The officials of HMWS&SB have to make a note of drainages and leakages and take appropriate action immediately, he said. The Commissioner also inspected the public toilets at Alugadda Bavi Road and directed the officials to maintain proper cleanliness near the toilets.
The commissioner also visited Mettuguda lanes and by-lanes where the sanitation works have been taken up and requested the residents of the area to segregate the dry and wet garbage separately. He interacted with the residents about their problems. Later, he has also inspected the graveyard and directed the officials to maintain proper cleanliness and to construct a separate gate duly taking up a compound wall with proper coloring.
