KTR’s jibe at Uttam’s beard

Jangaon: Some Congress people are in dilemma whether to keep their beard or to shave it off, TRS Working President KT Rama Rao quipped in a veiled attack against TPCC President N Uttam Kumar Reddy. Speaking to party cadres here on Thursday, he said that the birth of TRS itself a history. 

“14 years after the inception of TRS party, separate Telangana happened. Thanks to the people’s patronage and TRS chief K Chandrashekar Rao’s undeterred pursuance for the separate State,” KTR said.

He said that Congress is yet to come in terms with the reality after it faced a drubbing in the hands of TRS in the recent elections to the Assembly. Some of the Congress leaders are clueless whether to keep their beard as per their vow or to shave it off, he added. It may be mentioned here that Uttam Kumar Reddy vowed to not to shave his beard till Congress comes to power in Telangana.

He expressed confidence that TRS would continue its victory run in the upcoming panchayat polls and later in the General Elections. All the district headquarters will get party offices within six months, he said. 

He hinted that a MLA from Jangaon district would become a minister. Warangal is the next destination after Hyderabad, he said, referring to the Hyderabad-Warangal industrial corridor proposal. MLA-elects Muthireddy Yadagiri Reddy, Errabelli Dayakar Rao, Thatikonda Rajaiah, MLC Kadiyam Srihari and MP Banda Prakash were among others present.
