Bolarum Army Public School celebrates Chirstmas
Bolarum: Carrying on with its motto of celebrating all the Indian festivals with gaiety, the Army Public School at Bolarum came alive with the essence of Christmas celebrations on the school premises with students participating in various events to mark the occasion. The delightful celebrations included decorating the Christmas trees and making Christmas and New Year resolution cards.
A special assembly was organised to spread the message of love and joy. While the Christmas play ‘The birth of Jesus Christ’ was a beautiful experience, the story of Santa Claus excited the children. Melodious carols presented by the choir group, followed by enthralling dance performances by students, added to the festive atmosphere. Students gave a benevolent touch to the entire celebration by sharing their joy with the students of Sree Chaitanya School, who were invited to be a part of the celebration. They gelled up with them, and called them on the stage to sing a prayer song.
The main attraction was Santa’s ride with his bell and reindeers. The children welcomed him with loud cheers and enjoyed singing jingle bells. After the programme, bags of goodies with gifts and candies were distributed to all the children. With this gesture, the spirit of giving and sharing was inculcated among the students. The principal, Smitha Govind, expressed her delight on seeing the enthusiasm of the students, who brought the spirit of Christmas into everyone’s life. She said, “Happiness lies in celebrating festivals together as a family.” She wished all the children Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
