Cable operators oppose increase in tariff by TV channels

Zaheerabad: Seeking withdrawal of proposed increase in tariff by TV channels, representatives of Jharasangam Mandal Cable TV Operators Association submitted a memorandum to Tahsildar here on Friday. Later, addressing the press persons, Association president V Gyaneshwar said that the Central government announced to collect increased tariff from December 29. 

It would be a financial burden on the common people and resulting heavy loss to the cable operators, he said. Gyaneshwar alleged that it would be beneficial to the DTH and corporate companies. Association members Shivakumar, M Ramesh, Gopal, Veeranna, Sudhakar Patel, Venkatesh, Sekhar, Naganna, Nagesh and Sandeep were present.
