Concerted effort paid dividends
Warangal: The School of Distance Learning and Continuing Education (SDLCE) of the Kakatiya University (KU) Director Prof. Guguloth Veeranna has come in for huge appreciation for achieving record admissions in the distance mode education.
Speaking at a programme here on Friday, KU Development Officer Prof. Vallala Ramachandram said that SDLCE management led by Prof. Veeranna worked hard to improve the number of admissions in the distance education.
It may be noted here that SDLCE had enrolled a whopping 9,695 admissions in under graduate courses and 3,218 in postgraduate courses for the 2018-19 academic year. As of now, the SDLCE has been offering 29 courses and is likely to add BEd next year.
Prof Ramachandram heaped praise on Prof Veeranna for achieving such a huge success within a couple of months after assuming charge as the Director of the SDLCE. He also heaped praise on the staff which supported the administration.
Prof. Veeranna said: “It’s a concerted effort and without the staff’s support it wouldn’t have been possible. I have to thank the staff which worked overtime in the last few months.”
SC, ST Employees Association President Kotte Bhaskar expressed hope that SDLCE would make rapid strides under the directorship of Prof. Veeranna. Assistant Registrar G Sarala Devi, S Yadagiri, B Satyaprakash, Bhaskar, Anjaneyulu, U Ravi, Pasha, Padma, Swaroopa, Prathap, Bandi Venkateshwarlu, Nageshwar Rao, Naga Raju, Press and Media Incharge Dr. Sangala Ephraim Raj were among others present. The employees felicitated Prof. Guguloth Veeranna on the occasion.
