Graft-free admin spurred growth in revenue: KCR
Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Friday claimed that the Telangana State has achieved top rank in the revenue growth by registering a whopping 29.97 per cent in the State-Owned Revenues ( SOR), which includes tax and non-tax in the current financial year till date.
Participating in the dinner hosted by his government to the Christian brethren on the eve of Christmas festival here, the Chief Minister said that no other State in the country has such high revenue growth. He said the reason behind the growth in revenue was discipline and corrupt-free administration.
The Chief Minister reiterated that the government would complete all irrigation projects in two years and provide irrigation to one crore acres. The government, he asserted, was committee to fulfil all promises made to the Christian community, which included construction of Christian Bhavan in Hyderabad. He would hold a meeting with representatives of Christian community in 10 to 15 days to sort out pending issues.
KCR said the State government earmarked Rs 2,000 crore for the welfare of the Minorities. His government also accorded top priority to religious harmony and the maintenance of law and order in the State. He made it clear that the religion is a personal matter and the government was treating all religions equally. Home Minister Mohd Mahmood Ali, former Ministers N Narasimha Reddy and T Srinivas Yadav and others were also present.
