Datta Jayanti celebrations held on a grand note at Bardipur ashram

Bardipur: ‘Datta Jayanti’ celebrations were held on a grand note here at Bardipur ashram on Saturday. Yagnas, homams, Rudrabhishekam and special prayers were conducte. Vedic scholar Parameshwara Shastri, principal of Vedic School Shivasankar Swamy and their disciples organised yagna with 100 couples. The seer of the peetham, Avadhuthagiri Maharaj, the would-be seer, Sideshwarananda Swamy addressed the devotees. They said that a building for Vedic School would be taken up by the offerings of devotees. Later, students from Bidar Public School displayed cultural show. Seer of Tadola Ashram in Karnataka, Rajeshwara Shivacharya, Avadutha Maharaj initiated lighting of one lakh lamps along with Dr Siddeshwara Swamy, Rajaiah Swamy, TRS leader Devender Reddy.

Several political leaders visited the Ahsram during the festivities. BJP leader Jangam Gopi, MLC Fariduddin, film producer Malkapuram Shivakumar, Devender Reddy, CDC chairman Umakanth Patel, Zaheerabad MLA Manik Rao, ZPTC Sunitha Patil, marketing committee chairman Laxmareddy and others were among those visited the temple.Devotees in huge numbers from Telangana, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh visited temple. Zaheerabad DSP Nallamala Ravi made security arrangements to avoid any unwanted situation.
