Telangana State committed to welfare of minorities
Secunderabad: Secunderabad MLA T Padma Rao Goud said that the TRS government has taken several measures for the welfare and progress of the minorities. He spoke during his visit to various churches in the constituency on Sunday for the distribution of clothes to Christians as a gift from the State government on the eve of Christmas. Padma Rao visited the churches, along with local corporators and government officials. Pastors of the respective churches offered special prayers during his visit.
The MLA said that the state government has allocated resources to minority welfare more than any other State in the country. Due to his efforts, Secunderabad constituency has been giving more importance to various aspects of minority welfare, he added. Stating that the State government treats all religions equally, he appealed to all sections of the people to give their support for the development of the constituency. The programme was held in churches located in Sitaphalmandi, Boudha Nagar and Mettuguda divisions of the constituency.
