Four land behind bars for vandalising Global Hospitals
Hyderabad: The Saifabad Police on Wednesday arrested four persons in connection with vandalism at Global Hospital in Lakdi-ka-pul on Monday night. The arrests of Mir Mohiuddin Ali Khan, Mir Barkat Ali Khan, Mir Mustafa Ali Khan (sons of the deceased Shameem Begum) and Mohsin (relative) were made on the complaint lodged by the hospital chief security officer Mohammed Abdul Gani alleging that the four attacked their staff and vandalised the property.
Police filed cases against them under sections 148, 324, 353, 427 r/w 149 of IPC and arrested them on Wednesday morning. Section 4 of Telangana Medicare service institutions (prevention of Violence and damage to property) Act-2008 was also invoked against them and later produced before the court. Reacting on the case, City police commissioner Anjani Kumar said they will be punished stringently and will be convicted in the court of law.
They accepted the lapses while tackling the case and said it was a lesson for their team to learn and prepare themselves strongly and ably to tackle this sort of issues in future. Meanwhile, the members of Indian Medical Association and staff from Global Hospital staged a protest in front of the hospital demanding justice. The Telangana IMA members condemned the attack and pointed out that strict punishment should be given to the offenders.
