Congress to stage protest demonstration today

Bhongir: TPCC Treasurer Guduru Naryana Reddy here on Thursday demanded that the government pay compensation to the oustees of Baswapur reservoir. The Congress party will stage a peaceful  protest on Friday in front of the District Collectorate in this regard.

On Thursday, speaking to the media here, he questioned the Revenue officials for starting reservoir  works on the lands of oustees without paying assured compensation of Rs 13.09 lakh. 

He warned the district officials that the Congress party would intensify the agitation if the compensation was not paid to the outstees. 
He urged party leaders and activists to make the Friday’s protest a success.
