Will contest Lok Sabha polls: Komatireddy

Pedda Suraram ( Nalgonda): Former minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy here on Thursday said the view expressed by Dr B R Ambedkar that development is possible with small States helped in forming separate Telangana State. Dr Ambedkar’s vision in providing reservations to the downtrodden led to all-round development of people belonging to weaker sections, he said. 

He was participating as a chief guest at a programme and unveiling Dr Ambedkar statue at Pedda Suraram village under  Nalgonda assembly constituency. Addressing the gathering, he said Dr Ambedkar and Jagjivan Ram are legends and contributed valuable services for the welfare of poorest of the poor. They still remained in the hearts of the people.

He advised youth to study the life histories of great personalities and achieve life ambitions with hard work and commitment. He said he would to contest in ensuring Lok Sabha elections if AICC chief Rahul Gandhi directed him to do so, he added. Stating that posts were not important to him, he would continue to serve the people as long as he can.

He demanded that State government fulfil all promises it made during election campaign. Nakrekal MLA-elect Chirumarthi Lingaiah, Mala Mahanadu State president Tallamalla Hussain , Tipparthi ZPTC Tandu Saidulu Goud , Congress party leaders Pasham Sampath Reddy, Jukuri Ramesh, Gummula Mohan Reddy , Pendem Aruna, Tummala Linga Swamy and Laxman Rao participated.
