Legend remembered

Hanamkonda: The members of Nerella Venumadhav Cultural Trust (NVCT) felicitated Kola Hanumantha Rao in commemoration of mimicry maestro Nerella Venumadhav’s birth anniversary at a programme in Hanamkonda Public Garden on Friday night. 

The award christened as Nerella Pratibha Puraskar carries a cash prize of Rs 20,000 and memorabilia. The NVCT president Nerella Shobhavathy, Secretary and noted novelist Ampasayya Naveen, Nerella Venumadhav’s sons Srinath, Radhakrishna and other family members were present on the occasion.

Telangana State Department of Culture Director Mamidi Harikrishna, lyricist, singer and Officer on Special Duty to Chief Minister, Government of Telangana Deshapathi Srinivas, film actor Siva Reddy and mimicry Srinivas were among other dignitaries who paid floral tributes to the mimicry legend Venumadhav.
