Telugu Association of North America, Indian Medical Association conduct 5k run in Kothagudem
Kothagudem: ‘5K Run’ was conducted in Kothagudem on Friday by TANA and IMA. It received good response from students and public The Telugu Association of North America (TANA) in association with the district chapter of Indian Medical Association (IMA) organised the event titled ‘Happy schools and Healthy India’ to promote health consciousness among students.
Students and a large number of people turned up for the 5K Run that began at Prakasham Stadium and concluded at Central Park near Yellandu crossroads. Khammam MP P Srinivas Reddy, Kothagudem MLA-elect V Venkateswar Rao, District Collector Rajat Kumar Saini, TANA president-elect T Jayashekar, TDP leader K Satyanarayana and others took part in the 5K Run.
Later in the evening at a programme in Bhadrachalam, the TANA office-bearers distributed sprayers to about 1,000 farmers and donated LED TVs and electric appliances to 40 government schools.
TANA president Sathish Vemana and its president-elect Jayashekar, Talluri Panchaksharaiah Trust chairman Panchaksharaiah, cinema actors Srinivas Reddy abd Siva Balaji were present.
