CM KCR push for greenery boost in HMDA area

Hyderabad:  Chief Minister  K Chandrashekar Rao on Monday directed the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) to chalk out a plan of action for massive greenery programme in a targeted manner in the HMDA limits.  

The Chief Minister held a review meeting on developing greenery in and around the HMDA with  the officials and  Authority Commissioner B Janardhan Reddy also.

He said Hyderabad should not become a concrete jungle like some of the Indian cities and the people would be be benefited by the massive plantation programme, so that for generations to come they feel happy. He further said that enough of lung space as much as possible should be created in HMDA area.

KCR also told the authorities to form walkers’ clubs and hand over them to walkers for maintenance for sustenance. He  emphasised the need to rejuvenate the erstwhile forest on Hyderabad-Medak stretch and other places. The Chief Minister wanted an integrated approach in collaboration with Forest Department to be evolved for developing greenery including the areas around Outer Ring Road.
