Rachakonda police take up auto digitalisation process
Hyderabad: The Rachakonda police commenced the digitalisation of autos under ‘my vehicle is safe project,’ to ensure the safety of women and children passengers on Wednesday. Rachakonda Commissioner of Police Mahesh M Bhagwat said that under this project the details of auto owners and drivers would be gathered and digitalised with a QR code. The code would be generated after verification of concerned documents. After verification a sticker would be generated which would be pasted on the front and rear side of the auto and behind the auto-driver’s seat.
On September 5, with an aim to ensure safety of passengers especially women and children, this project was launched with the support of ThinkMax Solutions (in Malkajgiri Zone, Bhongir and Yadadri Traffic Police station limits) and ValvData Private limited (in L B Nagar Zone and Choutuppal Traffic Police Station limits).
The Commissioner interacted with the drivers who came for registration of their vehicles. The auto drivers revealed that the project ‘my auto is safe,’ is very helpful to them and as well as the citizens. Passengers while boarding the autos can scan the QR code and by using the QR code reader app they can share the details with their family and friends for information. If any passengers forget their belongings, they can easily file a complaint through www.safeautotaxi.com and safegaadi.com. This practice will keep the activity of drivers under control.
If in case of any untoward incident, the passengers can forward the details to nearby police station and location of passenger will be shared. Passengers can also inform through Dial 100, WhatsApp and Police Control Room for immediate assistance of police in the entire city limits. The project ‘my vehicle is safe,’ is proved to be successful and so far, 2,232 autos have been digitalised. Auto registration is being conducted at Uppal, Kushaiguda, L B Nagar and Vanasthalipuram Traffic Police station limits.
